Al Sharq Al Awsat
Al Sharq Al Awsat first aired in 1964 as a state-owned radio, and was mainly targeting advertising to generate income (foreign and domestic currencies). It was also the first attempt of the state to create a radio station broadcasting across the region. Al Sharq Al Awsat has been broadcasting all day since 1996.
