Kamel Abu Ali
Kamel Abu Ali is an Egyptian businessman and became a shareholder of the Egyptian Media Group after the Group acquired 50% of his company, Misr for Cinema in June 2016.In 1974, Abu Ali traveled to Switzerland and within 15 years he became a successful businessman. He owns shares in the Swiss club “Neuchatel”, and founded a group of companies engaged in tourism. In 1992, he returned to Egypt and established Tourist villages, Tourism companies and film production businesses.
Abu Ali was the President of the Port-Saïd football club from 1997 to 1998, when it won the Egyptian Cup in February 1998. After the 25 January 2011 revolution, he was again appointed President of the club but resigned in 2012 after 72 supporters were killed in a riot in the stadium.
